Chrissy Angliker's studio is art. Tucked away on a quiet street not far from Brooklyn's Navy Yard, the floor is covered in a mesmerizing mix of paint splatters, drips and globs–remnants of past art-making and Angliker's preference for working close to the ground (often kneeling on paint-crusted cushions). It was from this jewel box of a space that Angliker spoke with Platform about her embrace of surrender and chaos, the differences she notices most during return trips to Switzerland, and the significance of communicating even the most serious messages gently.
